Pokémon Fan Drawing Real-Life Owls As Rowlet Every Day Until SV Releases

A Pokémon fan is aiming to draw a Rowlet every day until the release of Pokémon Scarlet and Violet, taking inspiration from real-life owls to do as such. The Grass/Flying-type is one of the Alolan starter Pokémon, alongside the equally adorable Litten and Popplio.

In the same way as other Pokemon, Rowlet is inspired by a real-life animal, the owl. It shares this common source of inspiration with generation 2's Hoothoot and Noctowl. All the more specifically, many fans theorize that Rowlet is based on the Barn Owl, a species which was introduced to Hawaii (the inspiration for Alola) in the late 1950's.
